Set against a backdrop of murals and featuring Gallery Hops the first Friday of every month, the adjoining Downtown Arts District is home to numerous working studios, galleries and shops and is the center of many cultural activities. Five Points - where First and Miller streets converge with Country Club and North and South Stratford roads - brings visitors to various shopping areas – First St. flows back to downtown through historic West End. Here, meander through more than a dozen antique and consignment shops. Miller St. is home to several shopping areas serving the Ardmore community and Wake Forest Baptist Medial Center. South Stratford Road leads to Hanes Mall traveling past Thruway Shopping Center that serves the Buena Vista neighborhood. Shop Hanes Mall one of the largest in the region. Country Club Road leads to residential neighborhoods, while North Stratford connects to the historic Reynolda District with village shopping and museum shops.
